No one in their right mind would expect Jared Kushner to defend the US Department of Justice (DOJ) regarding the recent FBI raid at Mar-a-Lago (from where the FBI recovered thousands of pieces of US classified documents). Why wouldn’t you expect Jared to defend the DOJ? Because, while he might not appear as delusional as the rest of the horde blindly following twice-impeached ex-president Trump, Jared is still a MAGA-Trumper. He has a vested interest in subverting the truth about what is happening.
During a recent interview, Jared said that Trump’s criminal mishandling of US classified documents is nothing more than a “paperwork issue.”
This assertion cannot be further from the truth. Had the ex-president mishandled receipts for, say, fast-food purchases he later expected to claim on his taxes, you could maybe regard the incident as a possible “paperwork issue.” The willful removal of US Defense information from their proper place of storage is certainly not something anyone would do accidentally.
Or perhaps you can give someone the benefit of the doubt? Let’s do that. Say someone could accidentally take one, or a couple of files—more? Okay. Let them take a whole box of files (two? Three?)—during, say, a household move. However, you must agree that no reasonable person would “accidentally” take hundreds of files (in dozens of boxes) from where they legally belong. The only way any such person could transfer that sheer amount of classified material from the White House to Mar-a-Lago is PURPOSEFULLY (NOT BY ACCIDENT).
Those CONFIDENTIAL, SECRET, TOP SECRET, AND TOP SECRET/SCI documents were taken to Mar-a-Lago for one reason and one reason only: so that it’d be easier for the ex-president’s foreign partners—who happen to be sworn enemies of the United States of America (think Russia, China, Saudi Arabia, etc.—to get their hands on the information those classified documents contained.
Anyone formulating a different story regarding the presence of US Defense information at Mar-a-Lago is lying to the American people. Jared Kushner is one such person. He, like the rest of the Americans who’ve decided to put their love of the criminal ex-president ahead of their allegiance to the nation are nothing less that traitors to the US Constitution. These treasonous tendencies is driving them to be against the DOJ confiscation of the classified material from Mar-a-Lago (where there was no legal basis for them to have been).
Were the MAGA horde to use reason in arriving at their twisted, misguided conclusions regarding the matter, you would think they, at the very least, would look at the facts. For close to a year, if not longer, the US National Archives had been trying to get Trump to return the classified holdings he was illegally in possession of. He did not comply with these legal requests.
Of course, what the MAGA horde chooses to do is resort to throwing smoke in the eyes of the American people. They don’t want to educate the public. They want to muddle the issue because confusion in the populace serves their party. But conscientious Americans know better. They understand, first and foremost, that Trump committed a crime and, second, that (even though there was no precedent for such action) the US Department of Justice was right to have sought a warrant to search the Mar-a-Lago property. It is that simple. So, no. Jared Kushner cannot come out now and say that the removal of classified material from the white house, and its presence at Mar-a-Lago, is just a “paperwork issue.” Because it is not.
He, Jared, might not care about the risk to US national security that attaches to the divulging of classified Defense information to unauthorized personnel. He might even be so foolish as to regard the life of our clandestine service operators and FBI agents as expendable, not worthy of safeguarding. Then again, we know where Jared’s pronouncements are rooted. To put it mildly, he’s just another cog in the wheel of the disinformation machine operated by those who are choosing to put the fortunes of criminal ex-president Trump ahead of the national security interests of our nation. Jared goes as far as to argue that Trump is under “constant attack.” A point that would be mildly risible if it weren’t so misguiding; if it weren’t just another disingenuous attempt at making Donald Trump look like the innocent victim he definitely is not.
No one should be above the law, including an ex-president, and if the FBI is after Mr. Trump it is only because there is a preponderance of evidence, not only that he has committed crimes against the people of the United States, but that he is committing these crimes right now, as you read this, and will continue to commit more crimes should we not put a stop to his machinations and that of his followers.
Remember, the DOJ did try to work out what Jared calls a “paperwork issue” with Trump. They spent close to a year trying to get Trump to return those classified documents to the National Archives. Trump didn’t comply; in fact, his lawyers lied by saying there were no more classified documents at Mar-a-Lago.
Finally, the information we Americans are “relying on” regarding the illegal withholding of US classified material at Mar-a-Lago” is not coming from “leaks to the media.” This is another lie on Jared’s part. He’s lying to the American people. Information on Trump’s criminal mishandling of US classified documents (a deed that endangers American lives) is coming straight from the Department of Justice, no less.
Prosecuting Trump for the above-mentioned crime–or any of the myriad others he’s committed–is not “attacking” him. It’s simply bringing him to justice.
